It sounds very very familiar. I may have read that as a kid. I just read the Wiki description, it looks pretty cool to me.
I think I read it as a kid (I was a voracious reader) and I think it was a good story. I'll google to see if I'm right.
I never read it - our books were at least 20 years behind the times.
Seems like a good one!
I wonder why it was never on my daughters' reading list.
Or, was it?
Syl
I just looked at the plot summary and it doesn't ring a bell but the title seems so familiar.
Yeah, it's set in 17th century Puritan New England, complete with religious intolerance, small-town biases, and judgmental, holier-than-thou townspeople.
Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

Woot!
I'm almost positive I read it, even the lead character's name Kit, sounds familiar. I've always been very very interested in that time period and subject.
I read that one and many of her other books. Her books are a way to get children to understand history and lives in other times without using a dry history book. She uses children as the main characters so young readers find it easier to identify.
Thanks, all!
I look forward to reading it, also.

I've read it and liked it.
