  This makes Jesus and Paul the most well known apostates in history. Any true believer, like you Bane, is out of their league here, and the longer you stay here the chances improve that you change your viewpoint. The WT warns against reading apostate literature for a reason: your brain will process the information in the background. Like this idea about Paul and Jesus: they were apostate. They left their religion, and formed another. They attacked by reason and logic the fallacies of their old belief, and forged another one. (I know that most scholars say that Jesus had no intention of forming another religion, I am just stating what most christians believe, that Jesus is the one that made the break from judaism). Just like a lot of people here. They left what they used to believe. But apostate has become a loaded term, a derogatory word, used to describe those who have left a group. The remaining believers, like the WT and Bane the angry witness, have no way to come to terms with someone who has left, and go on the attack. They attack the person, rather than the idea, because the WT especially has no deep scholarship to fall back on; they are unable to defend their beliefs in blood transfusion refusal, generation, etc, in open debate formats with well educated questioners; they go on the attack against the people instead of the argument, the well known ad hominem attack.

  Sounds like this expose' of the WTS GB political voting of matters instead of being led by holy spirit pricked BANE's nerves. That was terrible of BANE to make that acusation about Ray, when faithful WTS GB member Leo Greenlees was the one who had molestation acusations made against him by active JW's.

  BANE - I didn't say I hate you, I said YOU were hateful. Jesus was not hateful. He exposed the hypocrisy of the Jewish religious leaders. He viewed the people as abused and in need of a shepherd. You are acting hateful towards people here who have recognized the hypocrisy of a religion. You are acting hateful towards Ray Franz, who, if you actually did read his book(s), would find was a very loving and humble Christian man. He was without hatred toward any of Jehovah's Witnesses, all the way up to the top.
