If you could rip it and make an ISO, you could possibly run it in compatibility mode OR run it in a virtual machine :)

I can't run it at all. I can see the directory but can't open any of the files
Lady Lee, making something an ISO is basically making a file that is an image of the CD. With an ISO, you can make exact copies of CD's, send the ISO image to someone and it will look just like the CD using the right software. You can use software to make a virtual CD drive and point it to the virtual CD (the ISO file) and it will appear as if you have the ISO.
This is usefule for me as I use a netbook and don't have a CD in my laptop.
Google Books has a bunch of old Russell and Rutherford era publications. Go to books.google.com. You can do advanced searches, for example to look for Rutherford books, search for "Joseph Franklin Rutherford" as author. Google Books is cool because (1) it's not an "apostate" source and (2) they are scans, not just text.
AFAIK the CD contains the latest version that has been printed. So, when Watchtower volumes were reprinted after years, sometimes their text was modified at that time. And of course they put the latest version on the CD. But there are no changes from the latest printed copies to the CD; e. g. the 5/74 KM praising JWs who sold their houses to "spend the short time remaining before the wicked world’s end" in the ministry is on it.
