We once did played a game where you smell various aromas from tiny little perfumy looking bottles. True blue wine experts are supposed to be able to pick up these aromas from a glass of wine.
Most of the aromas were "desirable" in a wine, but there was a separate box of about a dozen "faults". One of them was "wet horse". Having been raised in a small town, it was absolutely the smell of wet horse to my nose.
Guess what the city slickers identified it as?
A Band-Aid.
And you know what?
It smelled just like a Band-Aid once that idea was planted in my head. Amazing how strong the power of suggestion is when combined with the sniffer.
