I used to enjoy Lush quite a bit and was able to see them a couple of times, once with Mojave 3, which was the alt-country band that slowdive morphed into.

Here is a video clip of a JW shoegaze band from the Twin Cities area.

Edit: Don't know how to include videos but here is the link, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtOBTM7gRPs

The Pale Saints - Kinky Love is another great track, I used to put "The Perfect Disaster" - TV (girl on fire) on my compilations from the time too.

Although not really shoegaze "Levitation" and "Dr Phibes and the house of wax equations" fit quite well too.

They're quite good. It starts off with nice dreampop and then it dissolves into a droney shoegaze sound. :) So they're JWs?

I have heard some of the more recent telescopes stuff is worth getting, a lot more mellow than their early stuff. Not heard any of it myself but a friend suggested it.

I should check it out....Interesting since their early stuff was a noise-rock hardcore type of sound.

Lily's I don't really know, did they do "Nanny in Manhattan"?

    Yup.

Curve were another favourite especially their cover of "I feel love"

I love almost anything by Curve or Toni Halliday. Check out "Bloodline" by Recoil, she sings on that one.

I've got "Babymaker", "Featherframe", and "Sight of You" on the compilation.

"Smile" by Levitation is such an awesome track; it's on my compilation. :)

@Leolaia - Well they were back in 2004. A couple of them aren't in the org anymore, they are in a group called High TV. The rest of the band + others are in new group called "Akai" who have put out a couple of CD's.
