sorry man LOL. Look at the bright side, at least you didnt shell out that 4 or 5 grand on ring. You can spend that money on a down payment towards something else now!

Broken Promises
If your current gf is having commitment issues, then don’t buy that ring.
And presenting her with a ring wouldn’t be the best way to “keep” her – what if she’s emotionally swayed by the ring, but 6 mths, or 6 yrs, from now, the same commitment issues are still coming up?
And if you’re considering going back to old gf…. Makes me go hmmmm…
Slow down with current gf. Her commitment issues are a red flag. Just sayin’.
