  I've been writing humor for years now...online. Being raised by JWs is the requisite insane upbringing that finely hones your sense of humor to a Woody Allenesque fine point.

  I'm also Irish and Jewish, two races of people well known for coping with their respective misery and social ostracism by being funny as hell.

  As Jon Stewart says..."The Jews are as oppressed as the Blacks, we just didn't know how to put it to music and make it marketable."

  Kennedy is the only reason that most people think it's now cool to be Irish in America. Until then we were just a bunch of unwanted starving immigrants who drank too much and recited a lot of bad poetry.

  Oh, wait...we still are.

  I'm mostly Irish as well--

  Your husband has some black blood? Hoping this doesn't offend (humor has the tendency)--but reading on the life of Frederick Douglass years ago it said there was so much hatred for the Irish in Baltimore at that time that it was commonly said "An Irishman is just a n------ turned inside out."

  Second Life can be fun too, but I got sucked into the commercialism that is much more prevalent there than in real life (imagine how bad it is then...) It did make me a few thousand bucks... but I started not to enjoy it, as it was an extra workplace.

  Edit: do you know of any xJW group in SL? I wasn't online for about 2 years, I remember searching for "Jehovah" just for the fun of it, and I found a a pro-JW group! Pretty funny when sexuality in SL was so prominent - don't know the current state, but it was common back then that I had business dealings with people carrying a sex slave on a leash.

  I was playing WoW one day and a JW was witnessing in either General or Trade chat.... i can't remember. He/she was going on and on when i replied that JW's aren't supposed to play WoW and to find a better way to count their time. Busted! Never heard from them again...

  As far as your page is concerned, I don't play PvP or Arena so I can't really give you any input there. More of a PvE kinda gal. Even still, I like how you have the average stats. Kinda gives the player an idea of what to gear, gem, or enchant for.

  2 level 80 druids, 78 and going on ret pally, 25 on a prot pally too. Yeah I know, I have no life.

  I play WOW. 80 holy/shadow priest, 80 balance/feral druid, 80 marksmanship hunter. FOR THE HORDE!

  SL can end up costing you bucks, but I'm doing it the cheap way. LOL I just use it to go to live music events and meet friends, go 'dancing'.

  Yeah, the "adult" venues in SL are still alive and well, I have to snicker everytime someone comes into a dance or concert leading a sex slave by a leash and all that "master" or "mistress" dialog going on.

  And yes, the Irish were about as looked down in the North as Blacks were by some Southerners at one point. There were signs everywhere in cities in the North at one point that would say, "No Irish".

  It was because they were openly Catholic AND Celtic/Gaelic in culture in a largely WASP-y (White Protestant Anglo Saxon) environment. Some of the same elements that have led to most of the problems going on in Ireland for years.

  I remember playing WoW on the Azuremyst server, which is largely the West Coast of USA oriented, and I'd keep seeing this toon named "JahRules" playing with one called "JehovahGOD" and I always wondered if they were Witnesses or teenagers making fun of Witnesses. I never asked.
