Great Crowd or narrow path?

What is a “great crowd/multitude”? What is “great” to one may not be “great” to another. Regardless of whether you use the word “multitude” or “great crowd,” the use of either is relative—is it not—and a matter of understanding. The following are examples of what the Bible writers describe as their “great” crowds/multitudes. And in thinking upon these, they may or may not be large in number/quantity as on a global scale so to speak. Remember, the Bible writers are writing about “great multitudes/crowds” among them there in ancient Israel or just in the surrounding places such as Jerusalem, etc.

These are taken from the American Standard Version of the Bible and does not include the verses that contain the word “multitude” but do not have the word “great” attached to it.

Indeed, dear Inkie (the greatest of love and peace to you, my dear brother!).

That is why John also wrote, "Which NO man was ABLE to NUMBER." Meaning, the number is not set anywhere. It can be added to at any point... which, as we can see by the rising number of partakers in the WTBTS isn't... nor can it be... limited by man. Given my recent understanding that those who "DF'd" are NOT counted... the number is probably actually even higher (my Lord knows, the WTBTS will do whatever it can to keep THAT number down... including NOT counting anyone they don't WANT to count!).

    Again, peace to you!

YOUR servant and a slave of Christ,

    SA
