  I hope that I am still alive to see it when they do their final shutdown.

  Wishful thinking ldrnomo. They will still be around in another 100 years, the 2110 CD-ROM will only have the last 50 years WT's on and the GB will be telling how 100 years ago people mis-understood the generation overlap and had too much expectation of Armageddon coming when they had NEVER forecast it! Teachings such as the blood issue may have changed to a 'conscience matter' especially if any sucessful court cases have been brought. There will still be a GB living in paradise in the hills.

  This organization is full of corruption right from the top all the way down to the very bottom.

  It's full of idiots. The ones that wake up leave, realizing how stupid they were. It's full of people that I would never have over for a coffee, never have over for a beer, a dinner, or go to a movie with. They have the personality of a turnip.

  If the thought is Jehovah has not been directing them through out the history of the org, what makes you think he is going to start communicating with the BG at this time? A review of history shows that their direction has been just guessing as to what the bible says.

  Yes but in a exploitive and manipulative way, the connection to this publishing company and the supposed biblical

  end times and reemergence of Christ can not be over looked.

  The investment of a expensive printing establishment complete with presses and on-hand free workers does create

  an ideology thats warrants a return.

  The term opportunistic religious charlatans fits well in this case.

  For the sake of clarity, there are two interpretations of the growing heap of Watchtower cutbacks. The first is that the whole organization is and always has been a fraud and that it is now collapsing into obsolescence as Witlesses are growing tired of its exhausted claims.

  The second is that Jehovah is shutting it down either because it is guilty of wrongdoing or because the 'preaching work' is ending.

  Of these two, I doubt that the Governing Body has the intellect, honesty or guts to admit to fraud. So, only the second idea is acceptable. Beyond that, they are unlikely to humbly admit to defects, so 'End of Preaching' it will likely be.

  Sure, I agree that some form of this sick cult will always be around but I could feel great satisfaction if they declined into the irrelevance of a 'Socialist Workers Party' or Shaker Church.

  I have always thought the "downsizing" was a ploy to instil fear into the Rank & File.

  Something along the lines of "The Organization is simplifying because we are getting ready for the final stretch... better up my monthly donations to help with this final push!"
