No, but I also don't like my arm in a wringer being told I will be fined and face jail if I cannot afford the premiums.

You mean like car insurance? It is against the law to drive without it.

If you can't afford health insurance, which from your other threads seems to be the case, don't worry, you will get it either for free or pretty damn close to it.

The hypocrisy is palpable. You bitch about not getting welfare and then you bitch about health care reform. You don't see a conflict there?

Granted that my wife is on both Medicare and Medicaid. But Medicare and Medicaid isn't the problem. It's the whole Health Care Industry.

Hospitals charges M&M tens of thousands of dollars for things like surgeries, seeing the doctors and the nurses caring for your needs. Also they charge anywhere from $1k to $3k for a overnight bed stay. In some cases, some surguries runs well over $100k. There's also x-rays and all other sorts of stuff.

EMTs charges between $400 to $900 for a one way trip to the hospital, depending on your state, city and county.

The Entire Health Care Industry is ripping off the US Government in the same way that they're being ripped off when purchasing a $8k hammer and a 1k toilet set for the military. Military supported factories makes billions of dollars charging US Government HUGE crazy amounts of money to supply all of our military bases.

Medicare and Medicaid is fine as it is, it's those that charges them that is the problem. So can you honestly say that these Medical Industries is charging a honest fee for a honest service? At present, I don't think so. When the US Government allows greed to take advantage of them, the US Government becomes enablers to feed their greed.

Put control on the Medical Industries and force them to be honest with how much they really should be charging for their services and the Health Insurance companies of the pirvate sector will stop bitching about how much they are paying out a buttload of money for the sake of the patients (and these "pre-existing conditions" will become less of a big deal) and most especially, the taxpayers will breathe a sigh of relief that it's not costing us billions of dollars to meet the needs of people like my wife for example.

Make the Health Industry honest and the headaches about healthcare will stop.

Despite of the fact that you made a decision to wrestle control of your mind from a JW cult and be free from it. But turn around and tell the US Government that you're willing to give up your control and freedom in exchange for a health insurance?

So you're willing to trade your freedom for control by the US Government? Despite of the fact that you made a decision to wrestle control of your mind from a JW cult and be free from it. But turn around and tell the US Government that you're willing to give up your control and freedom in exchange for a health insurance?

So we had complete freedom before health care reform and now suddenly we are all slaves to a socialist government? Get real.

You trying to draw an analogy to the JW cult is weak and tired.

Wow, pure genius. Where were you when they were drafting up health care legislation?

So, Yiz, you are in favor of massive government regulation of the health care industry?

So, Yiz, you are in favor of massive government regulation of the health care industry?

And why not? Is it not the healthcare industry the problem that's causing health insurance premiums to skyrocket and the ridiculous "pre-existing conditions" to come about?

When the health industry charges ridiculous high amounts of money, especially the Big Pharmas that charges 30 pills for $500. I think the underlying problem is not the insurance companies, but instead the Healthcare Industry in of itself.

So why is the government not looking into the industries as the underlying problem? Regulate them and the premiums on the insurances will go down and they'll stop pissing and moaning about how much they are paying out for their clients and more importantly, these "pre-existing" conditions will become less of a big deal because they're not losing as much money as they are currently complaining about now.

Beware whenever Obama goes "uhm"; he is switching from one lie to another.

The only promise Obama has kept is to fundamentally transform America. In 2008 lot of wishers were wishing this was true.

Be careful what you wish for. It might come true.

FDR took a recession and turned it into the Great Depression. WWII saved his ass.

    Great Depression, part deux:
