"Millions now living*, will never die"
* who belong to the 1914 generation, which overaps into the 21st century, according to the newest light from the F&DS!
The solution is simple: Setup for a Power Point talk. If they protest, bring up how Russell used slides. If they still refuse, then just stop accepting talk assignments.
It's a win-win situation for you.
If you want to REALLY piss them off, mention the scripture about making unnecessary rules (Colossians 2:16-23) and tell them that you are a follower of Christ instead of a follower of men.
Ironically, a PowerPoint presentation might be about the only thing that could help people make sense of doctrines like 1914...
We used to have PPT presentations every month at our hall, but it was only for the monthly statistics. Using it for anything else would Deviate From The Outline TM .
You see Nephilim, you will learn something new every time you come here. The original talk said 'may' but was quickly changed in a month to 'will'. Do a search here, the reads are most interesting.
Hi Nephilim,
Thetrueone,
That's obviously photoshopped. They said "Millions now living MAY never die". It's a great photoshop though you are very talented.
When the "never die" expression made its appearance in the late teens, verbs "may" and "will" seemed to bounce back and forth in useage for public talks. After the publishing of the Millions booklet, "will" became the dominant word.
Len
"May" or "Will" makes no difference...
THEY'RE ALL DEAD.
Oh man, me and my stupid jokes...
Yeah the photoshop comment was definitely humor. I guess I get a 1/10 for the joke. I'll try harder next time!!! I will!!!
How funny it is though that if you DO bring this up to a Jehovah's Witness they are so quick to point out that the original talk was called "Millions now living may never die".
I'm new to the board, but big on humor and photoshop so look forward to that!
And for good measure...
Now thats good Photoshop
Sometimes it good to make things obviously clear, the reason being there are allot
of lurking JWS that come to look at this site.
More than that most people realize.
