Butterfly, I know what you mean about still having family members in this religion. Plus, I think this info. is especially shocking for anyone such as myself who was raised in this religion and is just hearing this stuff for the first time... It definitely makes me want to dig deeper and see for myself how much of this might actually be true. For example, I'd have to see some actual sources to back up the pedophile claim supposedly made by C. Russell's wife. I'm not sure where they got that from, since it doesn't say in the video. Anyway, interesting post!

Some of the information in the video is true and can easily be verified by looking at the older publications and the CD rom. That alone is damning of the origins of the JW religion.

Whether some of the more outlandish claims are true I don't know. I know there is enough evidence without it to condemn the organisation.

Thank you bluegirl78 for your post sometimes I wonder what others think. Instead of being passive like many JW I wonder if they even think about stuff like this and wonder if it's truely important to consider! If or why the Governing Body felt the need to cover this if it was true or not... explaining some lies or truths behind this in their literture.

Nugget... yeah I can see what your saying but I was considering going back just based on well there is other religions that make their claims and have there errors maybe I can get back in and at least have my family to talk to and be considered "weak" but if these videos are true! Heck I don't want to be a hypercite to GOD! We were taught by the Bible that such support is wrong! Satanist! Seriously!! That's just to to far!

    Reslight2 said this:

Actually, no, Russell did not refer to himself as the 7th messenger. Many of the Bible Students did this, especially after Russell died.

I like to include that the freemason Russel also included occult/demonic teachings that included studies in the Great Pyramid that linked to Bible prophesy and that Pyramidology and Numerology are practices steeped in Occult.

Russell was never a member of the Freemasons' organization. Russell was not into any occult/demonic teaching. The Biblical study of the Great Pyramid is not demonic occultism, nor is it spiritistic numerology.

I think the first video is accurate. I use to believe that Russell was a freemason but I later learned that he was not. I think the pyramid was placed near his tombstone sometime after he was buried. CTR was definitely into pyramidology and astrology. The Proclaimers book touches on pyramidology a little bit and speaks about how Rutherford threw it out calling it Satanic.

If you want to verify that the pyramid exists, go to Google maps and type in 226 cemetery lane, pittsburg, pa (yes I've committed this address to memory). You should see a little man in the zoom bar. Click and drag him to the first entrance of the cemetery (past the top intersection of cemetery lane and N South Drive). This entrance is the nameless road intersecting with cemetery lane, the first insection just below the intersection with Tonidale Barber Shop marker at the top of the cemetery. The intersection should be reported as 164 cemetery lane when you drop the little man on the road. Rotate the view to have the little man facing into the cemetery, look carefully and you will see the pyramid. Zoom in for a closer look.

    This should do the trick

    Pyramid from the west

However, the pyramid is maybe best viewed from the opposite path which shows the Greater Pittsburg Masonic Centre in the background.

    Pyramid from the east

Yeah I beleive that part of it too, garyneal. And thanks Chalam.

And after learning about Ruthford and him being so self righteous and greedy after all... (During the depression and everthing. Sicking.)

I guess the real question I'm looking for is... with this foundation... I wonder if the whole roll of "true religion"... does history or past matter?? and how do they know they won't change what they believe now, in the future? Is it worth to die over if it will change later on?

False teaching changed... still changing... hmmm where does the Watchtower hold any ground?

That is why I feel happier out of the religion... If I can live with more pride in self control and doing it God's way out here, I think I'd choose that.

The sad part for most Disfellowshipped or Ones leaving, where do we divide right from wrong, from one sin to another sin, it was so pushed from Black and White to a little justification over the years, to now what will God truly except? We were blinded, we were ignorant, we were sinners...

I got the Bible and I guess I'm ok with that as a guide. I guess nows a good time to safely say I should reread the whole Bible. (new project... more reading [sigh]) ;)
