When I was newly married, we had the CO and wife stay at our house. I was trying to go in service a lot that week although I had a new baby so I didn't have much time for meal preparation. One meal that I gave them was a TV dinner. They didn't complain....

I would get a kick out of seeing everyone acting so fake during the CO visit. Everyone would get there 1/2 hour early, the Kingdumb Melodies would be blasting early on. During the song everyone sang loud and proud, especially those on the podium who looked like opera singers. Ohhhh, and the intense 20 minute prayers . . . . . You would have to open your eyes every once in a while to regain your balance.
