The idea of a God that made everything, knows everything, and has feelings and opinions about everything seems a bit preposterous and based on a pile of assumptions which are extremely anthropomorphic in nature.
Needless to say the Biblical Deity resembles a human with megalomania, or a human with an inflated ego. He demands love from his worshippers with nothing less than to love him with ones whole heart and soul. Based to a large part on godly fear and terror, for the consequences of not loving him are,, ah well,,punishment of some sort depending on which brand of religion or interpretation one subscribes to. This type of love can never be a genuine love from the heart, it is more of a forced love,, sorta like a do it or your dead meat. Well it don't make sense.
Now there are many who feel that the bible Deity is not real but feel there is still some type of Deity out there that watches everything you do some great consciousness that see all of everything that happens, everything that is thought in every mind in every thing no matter how developed the brain or nerve endings it is connected to everything and experiences everything through everything. Well if that is the case then nothing stands out, and must be met with the greatest indifference.
To me they are all assumptions, based to a large degree on some type of comfort they offer, comfort perhaps that your not alone in your thoughts, that someone is reading your mind, or that you can connect with this great mind and share some of the experience though meditation or higher consciousness, or as they say cosmic consciousness.
