Such things as Community Responsibility are viewed as war crimes : -

    Fourth Geneva Convention:.....

Article 33. No protected person may be punished for an offense he or she has not personally committed. Collective penalties and likewise all measures of intimidation or of terrorism are prohibited.

And the Yeartext this year is all about Love????

The Jehovah's Witnesses have a twisted love born from imitating a glory seeking vengeful God that plans on destroying all those that don't have the correct salvation formula, man, woman, children and babies it don't matter God will kill them all.

This love is twisted even more when we consider that many may never hear the message and be given opportunity to respond and that the message bearers have no miracles to preform demonstrating they are really from God and should be obeyed if they want to live.

To say that such a God as that,, is LOVE,, and that such a God is an example to be imitated leaves the average JW seriously lacking in real concern and care for people in general,,all in imitation of the type of God they worship.

It should come as no surprise then that while out in field service they can talk about what house they want after Armageddon when all vermin like humans are gone.

Just another convenient understanding of failed prophecy......

The Bible Students and now JW's always felt they could notify the world completely of the pending doom. When it became apparent they couldn't reach the whole world, not even a small portion as they originally wanted, they simply changed the thought to, "of course it doesn't mean we have to preach to everyone"

As to those relatively few who won 'Jehovah God's lucky lottery', heard and responded. Congratualtions!

To those losers who never even heard of Jehovah, tough luck! Happy destruction!

PS. Wouldn't you think, something as big and important as mankinds impending destruction, we would at least hear about it on the UN's floor? I mean, even Pharoah of Egypt got a warning before JG zapped him.

PSS. Maybe we should call it, "Jehovah's Great secret war against the ungodly"

If someone with WT Library would like to do a sentence scope search of "Life saving work" I would be interested in what you would find.

PS Will I damage my computer if I get WT Library again? I feel so dirty thinking about it.

I think this still fits the thread......

Far into the future, sometime in the New System, I mean Paradise....

A young child is asking his father.

"Daddy, what did you do during the last days to save people from our loving God's destruction of the human race?"

"Son, I'm glad you asked. I went door to door warning people of Armageddon"

"Wow, daddy, that must have been real hard telling them you are representing Jehovah the Almighty, and for them to serve Jehovah or die a horrible death'?"

"Well son, I didn't quite put it that way. We told them we were in an educational work and for them to take a magazine and give money"

"Oh I see daddy, then the magazines TOLD them of Jehovah's great meassage? And when they read it they laughed, spit at you, then cursed Jehovah! What wicked people, they deserved to die, plus their children"

"Son, it didn't quite happen that way. The magazines usually were about how to make tacos and how someone learned to play the Tuba."

"But daddy, then they had no idea what hit them, and why it happened?"

"True son, very true. But that just shows Jehovah God's mercy and love. They had no idea what was going on, and Wham! JG hit them before they knew what was happening!"

"Oh I see daddy! HE didn't want them to suffer from an agonizing wait and death. Jehovah is so loving, isn't he daddy?"

    And the point is....

They are making God look like some sort of fool for teaching that he would bring this destruction on so many innocent people. We used to mock the religions for teaching a Hellfire, even to the point of saying, they were slandering God, putting him in a bad light.

But look who is doing the same thing?

DA CHEECH- Good thread. Thanks for posting this mind numbing info from a GB member. Man, these guys really ARE marketing tools aren't they like the True One stated ? Crazy stuff.

I like how the GB member manipulates the witnesses with this first expression " So , our main focus in preaching should be on praising God. THIS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN SAVING PEOPLE , as Jehovah is more important than humans. " Then notice the flip-flop later on in the talk when he says :, " EVERY LIFE IS PRECIOUS TO JEHOVAH AND HIS ORGANIZATION . " So which is it ? " Saving people isn't that important ? " or " Every life is precious to Jehovah and his org. ? " Ridiculous crap.

Look : This is what I see going on here : damage control first and foremost. For years we all know ( those of us in the org. for 30 to 40 years +) that the WT society emphasized how URGENT the preaching work was because the time left WAS REDUCED ! That Armageddon could strike at ANY SECOND ! ANY MINUTE ! " Warning Will Robinson ! Warning Will Robinson ! " We were told people's LIVES were at stake and we were in a life-saving work due to the imminent danger of Armageddon at ANY MINUTE !

So what I see now is a SOFT PEDALING of that alleged " urgency " due to the " overlapping generation theory " because the WT society knows that in reality Armageddon could be 60 or 70 years away - or may nEVER come at all ! LOL! So to keep JW's focused on the MOTIVES and REASONS for the preaching work - they throw in that " praising God " should be the MAIN FOCUS of the preaching work- NOT saving lives. Bastards. So they lied to us all those years telling us how URGENT and LIFE SAVING the preaching work was, eh ? Well Message to the GB and WT society from Flipper : I ain't buyin' it anymore you deceptive a-holes ! I got your number and it's called " playing your members for fools ". It's high time somebody just comes out and calls a spade a spade. There, now I feel better. Gonna go back to drinking my Mocha with an extra shot. Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Dissed, loved your version of "Armageddon" video game... Heaven - "No need for field service reports, then?" [approximate quote...] That's probably what they're hoping for - a 3% increase, and 'more' in the U.S.??? How much more?? 3.2%????

As AllTimeJeff and others pointed out - their increase is dismal, especially when compared to the rate of attrition - which is kept secret, of course, silly me...

Wish someone could look up the rate of increase before 1975 - THAT would be a telling comparison...

When I read, " which is everything must revolve around Jehovah and his will...." = My mind 'saw', instead: "everything must revolve around the Governing Body and their will..."

But, we all know that.... Zid

(oh, Flipper, your comments: " So what I see now is a SOFT PEDALING of that alleged " urgency " due to the " overlapping generation theory " because the WT society knows that in reality Armageddon could be 60 or 70 years away - or may nEVER come at all ! LOL!..."

On a related note, I've looked at the Yellowstone activity recently - minor quakes, so I think we're still safe, for now... Zid )

    Blondie -

Maybe that 65 Witchtower was a prophecy about the internet, where this could have been accomplished, except they wont use a demonic device. (Tongue firmly in cheek)

MT 24:14 merely says there would be a witness to all nations, not each individual.

Interestingly, it was pointed out at least twice the Watchtower has said that MT 24:14 has been fulfilled already. (Might be in the same line of thought as Colossians 1:23 'good news ...which was preached in all creation that is under heaven.' Clearly, not every single human being of that time or in the known world had heard the truth.

What is the likely meaning of the bible writer's statement in Matt 24:14? Check out this thread.
