Ummm more than half of all bankruptcies in this country are due to medical bills.

Madame B., you probably don't understand this, or perhaps you do but simply refuse to believe it, but as Highlander explained, the purpose of bankruptcy is to protect a persons assets. I wonder if you actually know anyone who has "lost their house due to bankruptcy and medical bills".

On the other hand, maybe you believe that people should not be held responsible for their decisions and that other people should pay for your mistakes. People who subscribe to that philosophy often find their adult children still living at home long after the kids have turned 50. Such a philosophy rewards FAILURE at every level.

Do you ever wonder why there is not insurance company in the USA offering to provide Canadian health care to American citizens? It is because there is no market for such a product.

Just how does bankruptcy protect you against a bank repo? If you cannot pay for your home, you cannot keep your home. Banks are finnicky that way.

Why should those who are adamant against socialized health care force their beliefs on those who need it? You say you want choices, but not that choice. No one there is forcing it on you. That'a why it's called a choice. We here have that choice. Pay for the plan or go private. That's real democracy.

Try deciding based on your own beliefs, not Repug. talking points.

Like when a individual has found to have cancer in between employment and the person has a hard time finding a health insurer to

cover the new and impending health costs.

    Thats good logic Nathan

When you're reduced to arguing that bankruptcy is a key plus to your nation's healthcare system, you've lost the argument.

Starting with the premise that you don't really give a damn about other people as long as you've got yours, and that facts don't matter, the rest of your argument falls neatly into place.
