  Thanks for responding, y'all.

  When I was a kid my mom referred to dinner as supper

  That's what I had in mind.

  We used to call the morning meal breakfast, dinner was mid-day, and supper was the evening meal.

  Now, it's breakfast, lunch, dinner.

  LOL at Else, Farkel, and Sir.

  I live in Oregon, and don't know anyone who uses the term supper.

  Down South, it was supper for the longest time, ILoveB'days.

  We do splurge sometimes.

  Splurging can sometimes be a good thing, Mr. Flipper.

  At the moment I am very pregnant so the concept of three meals a day has gone out the window.

  Of course when I do eat it has to be followed by an indigestion medicine chaser.

  I eat every few hours - three squares is more like 6 ... or 7....

  In many parts of the country, if I'm not mistaken, Dinner is the term used for lunch and Supper is the evening meal. ?

  I eat usually once a day, some days I forget to eat and so the next day twice.
