It's true about the possibility of being exposed to a new idea through those groups. They might hear something they will never come across in the sealed-off JW world.
Reading those posts really pushes my ex-cult member buttons. The hypocrisy gets to me a bit, because I was a guy who followed the rules right up to my disassociation.
