Wisdom from above according to The Message Bible:

    Proverbs 26:4 Don't respond to the stupidity of a fool;
    you'll only look foolish yourself.

5 Answer a fool in simple terms
so he doesn't get a swelled head.

6 You're only asking for trouble
when you send a message by a fool.

7 A proverb quoted by fools
is limp as a wet noodle.

8 Putting a fool in a place of honor
is like setting a mud brick on a marble column.

9 To ask a moron to quote a proverb
is like putting a scalpel in the hands of a drunk.

    10 Hire a fool or a drunk
and you shoot yourself in the foot.

11 As a dog eats its own vomit,
    so fools recycle silliness.

12 See that man who thinks he's so smart?
You can expect far more from a fool than from him.

    Sorry, Josie.

Romans chapter 14 is about not being judgemental of another's traditions. Here is what Romans 14:5-6 says: "Some judge one day to be better than another while others judge all days to be alike. Let all be fully convinced in their own minds. Those who observe the day, observe it in honor of the Lord. Also those who eat, eat in honor of the Lord, since they give thanks to God; while those who abstain, abstain in honor of the Lord and give thanks to God." In other words if you want to join in and participate in a celebration go ahead. If you don't want to then shut up and let others enjoy it.

I think it is hard to find some thing specific because most of the things we celebrate weren't around back then so you really have to reach (as the Watchtower does) to apply the Bible to them.

Read Luke 2:10-14. Observe that perfect angels were celebrating the First Noel--Christmas! Now, look and see where in the Bible there is an account where those angels were punished and made into demons for that act.

If you cannot find any account where those angels were made into demons for celebrating Christmas, then it must be scripturally acceptable to celebrate. Remember, unlike humans, the angels are (according to the scriptures) without sin, and it would have been possible to have it edited out if they did set a bad example for mankind.

Additionally, where does it say that you MUST obey the Bible, outside the Bible or societies that are supposedly affiliated with the Bible? For everyone that says you must obey the Bible, you are going to find someone that insists you obey the Quran instead. Who is right? Or, is there another supposedly holy book? Until anyone can unequivocably prove that one of them is right, and not using "proofs(??)" that originate from that book itself, I will presume that those "holy" books all lie. Just go ahead and celebrate whatever holidays you feel like.
