I actually got in an argument with a Yankee friend of mine over which mayo was better...Dukes or Hellmans...LOL

Well...from a Yankee's perspective who has lived in the South for 10 years: I have had both (grew up on Hellmans in NH) and there is no comparison! Dukes is hands down better than Hellmans, by a long shot. LOL

I suppose you tend to like what you grew up with (except for dubs).

I'm a yankee (Pennsylvania) who has visited the South many times and loved it -- the food, the hospitality, the whole works. Except for grits -- I've never had grits in any form that tasted palatable to me. And I've tried them with everything.

Some northern goodies -- Boston baked beans (the real thing, slow-baked in a beanpot for hours), Philly cheese steaks, New England clam chowder, whoopie pies, potato candy, lobster.
