I am watching it rain the proverbial 'cats and dogs' outside today. The old song about 'rainy days and Mondays always get me down' is playing in my head involuntarily.
Still, I am finding the 'half fullness' in this beautiful act of nature. Without the water cycle, life would not exist, would it? At least not life on dry land.
So, half full I say!

Show me a half-a-glass of liquid that is left in that condition, and I will say the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
Either there wasn't enough liquid to fill the glass or the person who drank from the glass only needed half of the liquid.
That doesn't fit your concern about the rainy Monday. In a world that I design, it would rain only at night and certainly never on weekends. I think it's just further proof that it wasn't designed, it's just the way it is.
I'm sorry you have that song in your head. I thought Karen Carpenter was a nice person but some of her music induced sugar highs.
Just occured to me that the "half full/half empty" thing is a false choice. The reality is both at once. Learn to live with it. Besides, a Buddhist will tell you that it is all an illusion.

You need to jump in the truck and get more Beer!
You can be Fined and put in Jail,if you run out of Beer in Canada..
