CAMEO-D- I don't have any impnding feelings of doom and fear because I came to realize it was all a false crock of $hit put out by the WT society to keep people under fear and guilt. So- I live my life everyday to find joy and happiness in myself and bring joy and happiness to others. My lovely relationship with my wife, my family who accepts me for who I am, living in a beautiful mountain area, our animals cats and dogs, and most of all living with peace of mind because I can think freely and clearly without being under cult mind control - it's a fantastic world we live in with lots of opportunities while we are alive ! Because if there is life - there is always hope of a better day ! We make each day what we want it to be. I try to make each day good . And have learned to deal and accept the negative days. More positive than negative though in my life

I'm with flipper, I have peace knowing that it's just simply not true. After I saw the elders for the shams they are, and the organization for the sham it is, all of the rest of it just fell apart. Just like in the movie, "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" should be the motto for the WTBTS. Also my faith, different brand than most on this site, but all the same it sustains me, grounds me, and gives me peace.

The fact that I am now TRULY free... and because of that no longer live in "slavery" to anyone... or fear... of anything. There are no words to describe it.

    A slave of Christ,

There will be no Armageddon, at least not as the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger paints it. Plus, even if there were to be a new world as they paint, it would be nothing I would ever want to be any part of. I would rather die than have everything I do be what the witlesses tell me to--and, since they have already been 135 years late, the chances of my seeing this event in the next 135 years is pretty tiny (to zero).

For me, I just sit in the fear. Call it meditation if you like. Go through the worst scenarios one by one.

Slowly the layers peel back and I come to a space of it's OK. Actually it's just perfect.

And yes, life threatening stuff (etc) takes a few sittings! LOL

This is a great thread. Thank you all.Things that give me peace of mind are:

    1. Knowing that everyday I am away from the WTBTS the smile on my face is real and not forced.

    2. Not having to watch my autistic son cry at night afraid his schoolmates and teacher are going to die at armageddon.

    3. A feeling of beginning to know my own mind each day. Being born into this cult has definitley cost me. Knowing my own mind is a beautful thing god gave me. My mind has been ressurected.

    4. My wonderful wife and two beautiful childern who all walked away together at the same time.

    5. The rest of my life with my family.

    6. Helping family members and friends realize they need to leave.

    7. Waking up each day to the beautiful gift of life. If this life is all there is so be it, whats wrong with that.

    8. Knowing I have all my friends on this site to cheer me up when I am down. This has been a great place for therapy for me and my wife. Thank you!!

    Yes, amen.

They know exactly what I'm feeling and why I'm feeling it.

    That is good.

Yes, this site has been really great.

Also, I read the Bible with a totally different mind-set now, calmer and more meditative.

Being away from the guilt-tripping meeting helps, too.
