That film resonated with me and I couldn't put my finger on the reason - at the time.

my mum said it would be better for her to live with worldly people than me.
in a recent development she has been reading 'apostate' material. she is stunned and upset and leaving.
So, from Mom's point of view (narrow JW cult led) she was correct.
Great to have her on your side. YAY!

The Truman Show is a great metaphor for the world system, its politics, religions, commercial system and all the other human contrivances. Once you escape the 'Tower you find that the whole world is a 'tower in its own way.
Keep escaping.
