Lately, I've put my foot down with my JW sister and my daughter.
We have to do this with people sometimes because if we don't, we are giving them the silent approval to keep on walkin' all over us. I've had to do the same with certain people. My father is one of them. Some people at work as well. People overstep the appropriateness boundary sometimes and they need to be told. How you tell them is up to you. Sometimes being nice works, other times it doesn't. When they don't get the hint, blunt and to the point is the next step.
The WTS is definitely toxic. I've seen it's effects on my family.
