quote from Townsend Letter for Doctors: http://www.townsendletter.com/Oct2007/vaccinate_null1007.htm

    • Cultured bacteria and viruses The medium of cultivation may include "dog kidney tissue, monkey kidney tissue, chicken or duck egg protein, chick embryo, calf serum, pig or horse blood, and cowpox pus."
James notes that these foreign proteins, which are injected directly into the body, contain the genetic material of animal cells. Live viruses in a vaccine may pick up the genes of these cells and implant alien genetic material into the human system.
    • Stabilizers, neutralizers, carrying agents, and preservatives
These include toxins such as formaldehyde (a carcinogenic material used to embalm corpses) and aluminum phosphate.

This last category also includes some thimerosal, the mercury preservative that has been removed from vaccines commonly given to young children (with the exception of the influenza vaccine, which may still contain mercury).

Mercury exposure has been associated with nerve cell degeneration, 81 adverse behavioral effects, 82 and impaired brain development. 83 It also has been linked to degenerative chronic conditions such as Alzheimer's disease. The developing fetal nervous system is the most sensitive to its toxic effects, and prenatal exposure to high doses of mercury has been shown to cause mental retardation and cerebral palsy. 84

    Leolaia:

"which is proven to cause ... autism in young children"

    Quack

At the center of the debate over the use of mercury in vaccines is whether this substance has contributed to an increased incidence of autism in the US. An analysis of VAERS and the Vaccine Safety Datalink found that mercury exposure from thimerosal-containing vaccines (TCVs) was a significant risk factor for neurodevelopmental disorders (NDs). 85 Other research, as discussed by David Kirby in Evidence of Harm, has suggested an association between mercury in the body and autism. 86-89

Sadly, only THREE of us have escaped. . . so far.

JP and I tried to awaken another, but he is an ardent JW Internet Apologist, now.

Forced vaccines are bad--what happens if the companies making them do a p*** poor job of quality control on purpose to save money and fatten their profits, or put poisons in the vaccines on purpose to drum up future drug sales? A competitor would not be allowed to make a better vaccine, so you do not see the free market forcing them to put out better products (and, better means safer and more effective).

If they want to see everyone vaccinated, it would be better to make sure the product is so good that the benefits outweigh the risks in virtually all cases. If the real benefits are strong enough (total immunity to this flu and all its complications without making the patient sicker than the flu would have) and the risks are tiny enough (being more likely to die from an infection from the needle itself than all other sources put together, which is extremely rare these days due to sanitation procedures), you will get more people willing to get the shot. If, instead, you put out a crap vaccine (one with low effectiveness and/or high risk) or one that has sloppy quality control, it will sicken more people than the flu itself (and the needle itself, a negligible risk factor, is the least of your worries). And it will not provide much protection from the flu.

There are better ways to provide mass immunity, and not just to the flu. First, they could put real nutrients in your food (and the free market will provide incentive to put the best quality nutrients in the food, lest someone else do better). This would feed people's immune system, preventing any sort of flus (regular flu as well as special flus). As a bonus, it would cut way down on regular colds, complications from colds that still happen, and other diseases like salmonella outbreaks and E.Coli outbreaks. It would also cut down on people getting other, more common diseases like diabetes, cancer, and heart diseases--and eat into the hundreds of thousands of deaths each year from properly prescribed, properly administered prescription drugs (which is worse even than the 90,000 deaths at the high end of the predicted flu range).

That's why the pharmaceutical industry is heavily regulated. We can't trust greedy corporations go to completely unregulated. You know, like the entire "alternative medicine" or "dietary supplement" machines. They don't have to prove anything with regards to efficacy or saftey before selling anything.

And you are not seriously suggesting that diet alone would make someon "immune" to things like the flu, colds, or E. coli infections, are you?

I don't trust any medicine/vaccines that haven't been around longer than 10 years...

No, they're MOTIVATED by greed.... the same thing that motivates any corporation. They are regulated by the government and forced to behave.

I love seeing apostates reduced to Watch Tower Society-esque name calling. "Conspiracy Theorists" = "Apostates". Unless one agrees with the government - or their chosen channel of communication - one is reduced to being a conspiracy theorist. "Oh, quick! Get the tin foil hats!!" Unless one agrees with the Governing Body - or their chosen channel of communication (the Watch Tower Society) - one is reduced to being an apostate.

What's even more intriguing is that I'm seeing the same people who display loyalty to the government attack Christians for their faith; faith is irrational, it seems. But when a person has faith in a government (or chosen channel of communication) that's not irrational. And to question such faith makes you a 'quack' or a 'nutjob' or a 'whack job' or a 'conspiracy theorist'.

As for Wikipedia, could it be possible that the government would edit a wikipedia entry to strengthen their case? No, surely the government has neither the power not the guile.

Maybe you should do a bit of research into the regulators of the financial corporations. It's quaint that you have such faith in the government appointed regulators of the pharmaceutical industry. However, I wonder if such faith is blind delusion or not.

Research who was regulating AIG before its collapse. Read up on how that regulator was placed in such a position of trust and by whom. It's faith building stuff...
