I understand what you're saying, JWDaughter. It makes sense, sort of.

I'm smart, Stan, but a bit distracted. Sometimes when I think of "things" I think of them in opposition and in opposition there are two - hence "a couple", then I think about arguments as "witnesses" and then remember that "at the mouth of two witnesses every matter ought be established"., and "two" comes up again. Then someone throws a frisbee and "what time is it??"

I remember asking someone at the door one time after tangenting-on-tangents for about 30 minutes:

    "So what's my point?"

And she laughed at the juxtapositioning.

Of course I was serious. I had no idea what I was talking about, nor what my point was if I had one besides being perhaps hungry after my exertions and maybe a bit sleepy too.

That teaches us that the movie "The Last of the Mohicans" is excellent.
The man should protect the lady who loves.

That story is by far the most revolting one in the Bible. It even tops Jephthah sacrificing his daughter - his only child - in return for "Jehovah" granting him a victory in war, and the one where 42 children were mauled to death by a bear for mocking Elisha's baldness. How anyone can believe that this is the kind of "righteousness" that god expects of people is beyond me.

"The first verse states the subject of the chapter. Every man is doing what
they think is right because God is not acknowledged as King. The Levite seeks
safety among the people of Israel but finds none. He then mutilates the body
of his dead concubine and sends it to the 12 tribes of Israel to show what the
people of Gibeah had done....First, we see that that religion, represented by
the Levite, when divested of God’s leadership is cruel at best. Secondly, we
see that people are not inherently good or moral as many would claim. Without
God’s leadership the people of Gibeah are depraved and dangerous."

    Hi, Jadeen.

    Definitely an excellent movie!

    Yeah.
That is a very great movie.

Many parents named "Cora" to their daughter, after watching this movie.
They will certainly protect the person who loves.

Jews have been and are too fractious to be able to wrk together to ever put a kingdom together. The closest they ever came is what they have, now - israel, hollywood, parts of new york, etc.

This story, like so many others, goes to show how those of the OT had a very erroneous idea at times about what pleased and what YHWH wanted.

As Paul stated," If the Old coventant had been correct, there would have been no need for a new one, under Jesus" ( I am paraphrasing).
