The fact is that very few religions call all of their members ministers, go door to door with their beliefs and trumpet that they have the true religion. That is probably why a jw's religion is mentioned when they are involved in crimes.

Another sicko JW. I hope this one hits the national press - Daily Mail, Sun, Local TV or BBC.

Now I know this isn't definite but let's imagine his wife is a jw and unlike the silly wife of Michael Porter she decides she wants a divorce. Imagine the Judicial Committee.

Chairman: "Well Sister Perv's Wife we do empathise with you in this terrible situation, but we need to know exactly what happened to determine if pornea has taken place and whether you are free to divorce Bro. Perv scripturally."

SPW: " But he *** the old lady with a ***!!! Surely that counts?

Ch: "We'll have to consider carefully as Bro.Perv is in the slammer er um being detained at present and we cannot gain his testimony..."

Later: (Chairman is on blower to London UK beth-hell)

Ch: "... so that's our problem, what do we do?"

Service Desk Company man:- "Very difficult, do you have a tape measure? Well if you measure from the kneecap in an upward direction (in metric because of EU laws) and divide by 10% of the dill and the cummin (no pun intended) then you can determine whether this gross uncleanness with greediness or pornea thus allowing our sister to divorce."

Ch: "Ok, boss, whatever you say."

SDCM: " Absolutely right old boy, but you arrived at this conclusion yourself with no outside help didn't you?"

Ch: "Err... OK, but if we encourage her to take him back and be a better wife, attentive of his manly needds wouldn't that be better for the organisation errr Jehovah's name?"

SDCM: "Sounds good but don't get us in the papers or being sued whatever you do or we're all in the ****

Wow,, Freddo,,that is about how it would be with elders and the organization with such stuff.. their response would be truly as sickening, nauseating as the perpetrator himself.

Ugh, this story disgusting, but not surprising at all. How foolish I used to be assuming that since so-and-so is a brother or sister, that they could never be a rapist, child molester, murder, criminal, etc. Over the years its scary thinking of how many of them could have been those things and I thought they were such wonderful people.

@Skeeter1 - I think you're right about one at every congregation. For congregations that don't have at least one, others have enough to make up for it.

My congregation has 1 registered child molester, who I only found out about because I was looking up my zip code to see who was a sexual predator in my city. He was convicted of raping a child under 12 years old. Then there's another JW in my congregation who's never been convicted. His prey were his own children, according to someone within that family. I never would have assumed this guy was sick and violent. He seems like such kind, gentle man. Its sickening to think I shook hands with both these people and had pleasant conversations thinking how great they are.

My feelings on this subject are plain and easy. First you have a witness who has destroyed a Christian Family and a small childs innocence. Does this pervert not realize he has destroyed her trust in men all together. Not only that this young person has virtually lost her spirit of childhood that was inside her. All she sees and my feel over now inside of her mind is the evil deed this moronic a$$ JW did to her. The sad and tragic thing is that no matter what this person who had these things done to her( and any individual who has been molested and raped) is in locked in there minds forever, it never goes away, no matter how much they try not to think about it that memory is constantly there. You may deny that it is there ,but it is. Once this comes back in to your memory banks if you have supressed it it will never leave you again. You learn to live it and deal with and that is the sad truth of it.

That is why so many victims would love to kill main or do something to their attackers. Like getting even for years of abuse. Truth be told there is nothing that will suffice your hurt and rage. The abuser gets to still do what they do, and the victim is a victim forever, but with help one can learn to deal with the pain and the trama, and you learn to vent that anger in a positve way. Like smashing plates, or punching a pillow of punching bag and or take a run or anything that helps with dealing with the pain and anger at that moment and time. I know that is not the solution but it could be helpful.

Even talking to a friend who understands or a parent who hasn't turned their back on you, or a grandma and or a minister or a support group the most important thing in healing is getting that support.

I hope they throw away the key with this guy but obviously it isn't happening before you know it this pig will be out doing to someone elses child, every kingdom hall should have a red alert about jerks and sicko's like this guy but I don't think that will ever happen especially if in the past if he has molested children in the congregations and has been disfellowshipped or reproved privately what ever the case you know how victims are told to shut up or they will get disfellowshipped too.

What a loving organization, raring to help the victim, NOT they help the law breaker and embarass the victim more by stating you have to have two witnesses and with out it unless the guy is caught in the act or admits it then it is pointless you will never see justice done. And you wonder why some kill themselves, or others or one of these fine days your going to see a victim of one of these molester attack a kingdom hall or the person responsible and hurt them badly or kill them it surely wouldn't be the first time this has happened either.

There are people who take justice into their own hands because they get no justice in the witnesses, the courts, the other organizaitons that are suppose to protect children and one day you just snap and you can't take it any more and you just go and do what you think you have to do. Like vigilante style.

Sometimes I don't blame them. I think honestly if nothing was done for me in the way of justice,b I would go after the bastard and probably maim him for life. And you know where that is.

I have a few questions about this case.

First, assuming that this man really is a Jehovah's Witness, how is that the congregation's fault? How could they have known that he was going to do what he did or prevent it? It seems a bit unfair to blame the entire religion for what one man did.

Second, if he was cautioned by the police for assaulting a four-year-old girl from a Witness family, how did the police find out about it? They could only have known if the family told them. Surely that is in the congregation's favour.

I don't believe victims are told to shut up or else be disfellowshipped. I've never heard of a single person who was disfellowshipped for reporting abuse to the police.

I certainly don't believe there is one paedophile in every congregation. Where is the evidence for such an astonishing claim?

I don't believe victims are told to shut up or else be disfellowshipped. I've never heard of a single person who was disfellowshipped for reporting abuse to the police.

Frank Nicholson, circuit overseer to Texas Circuit #13 serving the White Rock congreagtion in Dallas, Texas in early 1989 sat in my living room and said if I didn't "shut up I will see to it personally that you are disfelloshipped." He was referring to allegations I had made against my father, a ministerial servant still living and still a ministerial servant in good standing (otherwise I'd post his name). I had been shouting from the rooftops about my father, my mother and my grandfather for over a year.

My father ended up changing congregations. I forwarded the body of elders of his new congregation the information I had gathered from interviews with worldly family members, a discussion with a newspaper editor in my father's hometown (where the abuse took place) as well as over 100 pages of notes gathered over 2+ years. The body of elders were so shocked, and so disgusted they unanimously agreed to not accept my father's transfer as a ministerial servant.

Frank Nicholson, as good as his word, went to Brooklyn personally. To this day I do not know what he said or what happened, however my father was approved as a servant over the body of elders' objections.

But I'm probably just the only one anything like this ever happened to.

My wife was there, but then I suppose to "prove" the statement I need someone else? Two witnesses and all that. Otherwise it never happened.

I certainly don't believe there is one paedophile in every congregation. Where is the evidence for such an astonishing claim?

Nor do I. To my knowledge no credible, knowledgable person has ever made such an allegation.

My question back to you is why are all your posts on this board only about child abuse? And why do you defend Jehovah's Witnesses' treatment of child abuse victims so vigorously?

The reason why the papers trumpet when a witless commits crimes is because we are all sick to death of how the WT points out that there are disproportionate numbers of Catholics and other groups in prison, then say how they don't have these problems, because they are true and everybody else is WRONG WRONG WRONG.

The magazines are only too happy to point at clergy of other faiths who do vile things. I have never yet seen an item in the ltterature on the disgusting things elders do. OBviously on a regular basis.

Also in many cases the perpetrator will imply he should be treated leniently because he is a witless.

There was a case where parcels were being stolen at a sorting office. The police interviewed the various staff. One postman said that he was a JW and therefore honest and would not do such things because they are WRONG WRONG WRONG.

To further the investigation hidden cameras were installed. Do I need to spell out the result??
