Is the Watchtower is blind to Jesus' teachings?

Jesus ate with common sinners declaring that they were IN (Matt 21:31).

Jesus denounced religious leaders declaring that they were OUT (Matt 23 esp v15).

Still the Watchtower persists in making their own determinations, according to their own rules, who is IN and who is OUT (Prov 17:15).

This is why the apostate Watchtower ruling religious clergy class and hierarchy surreptitiously and contemptuously hate and obfuscate the unabridged gospel which teaches that a right and clean standing is IMPUTED on the basis of grace (faith) and not merit (works).

Are their similar instances that come to mind for you?

Excellent verse you've cited - (Proverbs 17:15) "Anyone pronouncing the wicked one righteous and anyone pronouncing the righteous one wicked—even both of them are something detestable to Jehovah."

Nine Scriptures reveal that the living and the dead will be judged by Christ Jesus; but the Org - and by extension - Witnesses in general, have relieved Christ of that responsibility, and judge everybody, especially "spiritually weak" Witnesses:

    John 5:28,29, Acts 10:42, Acts 17:31, Romans 14:9, 2 Cor. 5:10, 2 Tim. 4:1, 1 Pet. 4:5, Rev. 11:18 & 20:12.

In the Gospels, (as well as the rest of the Christian scriptures) forgiveness was to be shown immediately to a repentant person!

That ain't the way that "God's earthly organization" in Brooklyn says it's got to be done: drag out the "forgiveness" for many months and humiliate the individual as much as possible!

Question: Would you apply this to a pedophile who has molested your child?

In general, forgiveness needs to be shown much more readily than in the org. It is the overuse or misuse of punishment that needs to be looked at seriously. In the case of a child abuser, too much punishment is never enough.

Fernando - "Is the Watchtower blind to Jesus' teachings?"

    No.

They simply filter them through the lens of WT ideology.

Vidiot-can you give an example of WT ideology filtered truth?

Jesus said "love each other", and never shunned anyone.

The WTS insists that shunning is an expression of love, and uses WT-ideology-filtered reasoning to justify it.

Jesus said "care for the poor".

The WTS would rather "preach to the poor", and uses WT-ideology-filtered reasoning to justify it.

    x

    Jesus said "don't follow men".

The WTS insist that its members submit to the authority of the Governing Body, and uses WT-ideology-filtered reasoning to justify it.

Great examples Vidiot. Keep them coming if you can.

Some might say though that "filtered" is a kind euphemism for "twisted".
