Trying to get back to college
Jeff, I could have been in graduate school by now. I'm having trouble getting back to school part-time to earn a lousy trade. I'm too afraid to go for a long degree because I'll never be able to pay off loans and I'd like to do the family/kids thing. If I went to school years ago I could have done both but now I gotta sacrifice something.
With everything else, I'm good. I have so much self-esteem I should box it and sell it on ebay. Some people call it arrogance. But those people are obviously just not as intelligent as me.

Is that a skill? Isn't that kind of like not being good at seeing unicorns?
Falling for scams, religious or secular.
Accepting others' opinions without proof.
Tolerating dubthink and other braindead dogma.
I think FEAR is the biggest obstacle from what I've observed concerning ex-jw's. The fear is the highest control the Society uses and it works far too well, and followers continue to struggle with it long after they leave.

accepting things as they are exspecially with relation to their relationships with still active witnesses.Its great to hope and wish theyll come to their senses or even just be more accepting but at a point its a lost cause
