this morning. She was sitting outside our apartment and was approached by a jw man who handed her the invite. I didn't see him. Daughter came in and handed the invite to me. I told her to take it back to the man and tell him that we don't want it. She promptly did and said his reply was "That's OK".

maybe he said it is okay because he know it is not the truth, but still have to do it for family reasons, you just never know.

Far away at the Cow Palace in Daly City, about a 2-3 hour drive depending on traffic.
So.....how did he think your daughter was going to get to the convention 3 hours away??? And where would she stay????
what a waste of time. The probability of having someone travel several hours based upon the invitation is zero.
It makes no sense, does it? One reason why I had my daughter return the invite is I don't want to be on the jw radar. It's bad enough that my parents know where I live and so far haven't sent anyone from the local hall here (they're tried that before with my brother).
