There are two emails that you need to avoid that are going around.
The first one has in the subject line "Contains nude pictures of Sarah Palin." Do not open as the email may contain a virus or trojan.
The second one has in the subject line "Contains nude photos photos of Nancy Pelosi." Do not open as it may conatin nude photos of Nancy Pelosi!
Don't ever fall for that fight fire with fire analogy.
Purposely downloading another virus in the hopes of it fighting with your older/other viruses and destroying them
does not work. The only way this works is if it destroys your whole system...and in that sense it did get rid of them.
I was just joking with a friend one day about this and told him to find the biggest baddest virus out there on the internet
to fight all those other viruses...needless to say he succeeded, and he was never able to use his computer again.
It overwrote his MBR (this was years ago).
So I never even jokingly tell people anymore to fight fire with fire in regards to computers, viruses versus other viruses.
He was wanting to get a newer computer anyhow so he forgave me and saw the humor in it later. LOL
