I haven't heard anything from Ms. Shepherd yet, but if I do, I will enlighten everyone.
The reason I find their attitude so repulsive is that WT claims that C. T. Russell & Co. were responsible for restoring true worship.
How could that possibly be true when they were spouting such racist nonsense?
I find it interesting and telling that at the same time period as these articles were being circulated, the American Missionary Association was establishing mission schools in the backwoods of Alabama and other Deep South states. Many a Black child, yours truly included, received an education at these institutions

I couldn't believe my eyes when I read in an old WT that if you were black, you'd turn white in the perfect world. Or that they used to make blacks sit in the back (kind of like the way they treat bad JWs now)
