Meetings and the service has been suspended in Mexico according to this pro JW site. Apparently all CO's are getting letters to forward to say they can do the service by telephone or letters but not door to door.

Aren't they happy for the Internet now...that the organization can dispense divine direction in a timely matter. :)
I can see why the org is doing this. Can you imagine how easily this disease could be spread that way! If a JW showed up at my door sniffing and coughing, and I came down with swine flu because of it, I would really be really ticked! And, most people would have the good sense to stay home from church or such if they're sick, but not JWs. Their mentality and indoctrination makes it commendable to be there even when you don't feel good!
Now, I wonder if that will become normal when the swine flu (=regular flu) comes into the US (as it already has on a scattered basis). I wonder if boasting sessions and field circus will be suspended in those areas.
Additionally, I wonder how many people worry about getting tuberculosis at the door. I would rather risk getting swine flu (which is usually indistinguishable from regular flu) or bird flu (the same) than go out and catch tuberculosis. And that could spread through the whole community, just from two of those cockroach witlesses that "have" to go out in field circus while coughing with tuberculosis.
