Nothing more beautiful than watching a cult slowly hemorrhage money. Praise God!

If true - there should be a court ruling in the public records to be found - for someone fluent in Spanish. Let's put this puzzle together.

Not trying to be contentious, but why would the brothers in Spain care where the presses go after they paid for them? It is all the same org. that they send donations to (WWW), and do JWs EVER actually start petitions against the org? Or is it just those who have left that are making the stink? I ask this because I have never seen a visible movement inside of the WT to get them to do ANYTHING where the visible ones were still considered to be in 'good standing' with the org. By the time I had heard of Bowen or Anderson, they were on the way out already. What active, loyal JW would sign such a petition questioning the GB decision? JWs don't have the freedom that Baptists or Catholics etc., do in standing apart from the leadership and calling foul.

Are the Society violating the rules of the Charity Commision (UK laws) when they sell the Spanish establishment and then put the sale proceeds into the kitty at the US Bethel. Below is a link to a website

re: RESTRICTED FUNDS TO CHARITIES AND WHAT THE DONATIONS CAN BE USED FOR.

    http://www.fit4funding.org.uk/help_and_advice/spending/restricted_funding/

    Restricted Fund Accounting - WYCAS
    Introduction

The key point about fund accounting is that funds given for a specific purpose must be used only for that purpose, so the accounting records and the annual accounts must distinguish between the different types of funds according to the terms under which they were given (note that the term funds is used throughout to refer not only to money but to property and assets of any sort given to an organisation).

    Restricted Income Funds
These are funds, which are subject to special trusts specified by the donor (for example by a letter from the donor at the time of the donation or by the terms of a public appeal). They can only be used for the purposes for which they are given, and if they are used for any other purpose it may be viewed as fraud or deception.

"there are a lot of unhappy people, unhappy at leaving their home and their friends - the branch overseers at breakfast reminds all that this is jehovah's will, not the will of man"

That's got to be the best joke of the month!

Yup. Since Jehovah speaks only to the WT/GB, it should be pretty clear that His will is for a hell of a lot of people to be unhappy.

And since Jehovah seems to somehow continue to run out of funds, it must be His will.
