My biological family has a reunion every year. My husband refuses to attend because of the shunning I receive, so I attend alone. He will not allow me to take the children because he says that he will not allow them to see their mother treated with so much disrespect.
Years ago, I allowed my oldest son to stay with my JW parents overnight. The next day, my son was a terror because, according to him, Grandma was my mother and I had to do what she told me to do! She was undermining me left and right.
At this point, no, I won't allow my children near any JW's because of their destructive conduct. Something to think about.
