This is a poem I read just last night.

Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep;

I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry;

I am not there. I did not die.

Very, very sad. She had two young sons and apparently had a good marriage for 15 years. I'm sure her mother is in the cocoon that shock provides. I feel very sorry for all of them. What a loss.

PS - Some immature people should really try to use self-control about topics like this.

Gregor, she fell back on her head. I hope they do an autopsy to find out what happened. and why they couldn't save her.

A real tragedy.

Whew. Between, the Kennedy guy, Sonny Bono and now this...I never knew skiing was so dangerous. Did she hit a tree?

No. According to the news, she was taking lessons and was actually sking on a pretty flat area. She fell on the run but did not hit any object. The ski patrol helped her up and she was joking and they went back to the resort. She rejected an offer of going to the hospital and signed the waiver to do so. Later on, she complained of a headache and not feeling well and they took her to the hospital where shortly after she was reportedly brain dead. I believe they think that it was some sort of blood clot or something that might have happened if she hit her head on the fall. It's just freaky when you think someone falls, gets up and walks around looking fine and then a few hours later they are dead. Tragic. sammieswife.

So sad! I feel for her two young sons. What a tragedy for them, especially.

What an awful, awful time for her family , fans and such a reminder that our life can vanish in a moment. Very sad. My wife and I really feel for her husband and sons and mother. Everybody give the ones you love a hug tonight . Things like this sure make us ponder for sure . Such a beautiful person inside and out.
