    rebel8,

When I was going through my "JW Purge" and tossing all things JW, I came across similar pics and wondered the same thing. What a crock!!!

Whats up with this?: I know folks that were raised in the org and now they have kids and talk about how their kids will be pioneers and elders and that they hope that their kids kids will be able to hold on to "the truth". So exactly when the heck is the end coming? Folks with toddlers are already talking about their grandkids and not in terms of the new system.

Wow, that magazine is from 25 years ago. I think it would be safe to say that many of them are dead.

Remember, folks, Millions Now (1921) Living Will Never Die!

Oh, I shouldn't be so sarcastic. They've received Noo-Lite. There is no longer any date.

Well, let's see. Anyone here remember kissing this man's cain?

    ... hellooooo ...

That generation doctrine was my biggest selling point pre-'75.

Remember this selling line we used to use! It was gold. "When have you ever heard of one generation of mankind going from horse and buggy to nuclear weapons in one generation before 1914?" you pull that old chestnut out and place a "Truth" book every time! Like a "Shamwow!" it places itself. W.Once

It could be argued that "pass away" is not a very accurate term. JW's are good at using weasel words to redefine their teachings later after they are proven wrong.

The date on that magazine is 1984. My parents were about 50 years old at the time. That was 10 years after 1975...when the end was supposed to come when they were 40.

I am now going to be 50 this year. My father is dead, and my mom at age 75 still going strong with the JW's, admits she probably won't see the end come. How do they continue to believe this stuff, and how in the HELL does this publishing company get away with what they do?

    I don't get it.

    I don't get it either. I really don't.

What year did the Truth Book come out?

    Hi Scarred for life,

    Sorry for calling you georgia.

I'm posting from a new mini-laptop and not used to the small screen yet (that and old age conspiring against me).

I think the Truth Book came out in 1968 but don't quote me.

    cheers, unc.

My father died in 1975 so his Harm-ageddon came on time, Mum's still waiting.
