Well, you can bet your by-golly that the "reign" won't start until the WT is gone. As long as WT is in existence, then that's your cue that evil remains in the world.

And by the way, Jesus NEVER said he was coming back to reign.

He said he was coming back to get us after he prepared a place for us.

Nothing about coming here and judging people and making them endure a 1000 year clean-up project after Armageddon.

There is no 1000 year reign for those who go with Jesus.

    Jesus promised "life everlasting".

The beast system clearly puts a time limit on life.

Revelation tells us the plot of the Beast system.

If that is the case, why does the Watchtower preach that Jesus started ruling in 1914,

And since Jesus clocked in early before he started reigning....do those years count against the 1000, also?

  • Christ's Second Coming. Russell believe that Christ had returned invisibly in 1874, and that he had been ruling from the heavens since that date. He predicted that a period known as the "Gentile Times" would end in 1914, and that Christ would take power of Earth's affairs at that time. He interpreted the outbreak of World War I as the beginning of Armageddon, which he viewed to be both a gradual deterioration of civilized society, and a climactic multi-national attack on a restored Israel accompanied by worldwide anarchy.

Why is that( "Russell believed") not considered a "matter of personal interpretation"?
