What are your New Year's Day traditions and/or food? We do roast pork, collard greens and black eyed peas.

I may add home made dumplings and sour kraut and cabbage with caraway seeds for our Czechoslovakian side.

Parades and football of course, instead of field service (circus).

No part of me is Skandihoovian, but I like to knock back some Akvavit on New Year's so I don't have to think about it for 364 days.

Oh, I'm thinking a honey glazed ham, a nice mix of collard and kale greens, homemade mac and cheese (no velveeta ), black eyed peas, and cornbread casserole.

I'm still sick, so I'll probably pass on dinner at my sisters. She usually has soup, turkey, ham, sausages, cabbage rolls, several types of potatoes and veggies, and tons of desserts.

    Good Morning, Gram:

None yet, but it looks pretty good here, dining at JWD!

    Always great food threads.

    Thanks and Happy New Year!
