My daughter and I were talking the other night, about things that go bump under your bed when you are a kid.

Thinking back I can remember this happening to me alot! But neither of my kids ever had one. I wonder if it is because of their lack of visits to the Kingdom Hall? I know what I was screaming about, looking back.

It happens to me once or twice a year.

I scream "help me!" and my wife wakes me. In my dream I can't move!

I didn't know that it was a pediatric thing.

Yeah, I never have them anymore, that was when I was like 4-7 years old. Yeah, Mom prolly thought it was demons. I just wondered, since it seems hereditary........mine must have been environmental.

Been saying that for YEARS! But usually just one on Saturday in November......

Yes... I had night terrors horribly. Nightmares where you "wake up" and still see your dream. I found out years later that my Mom actually thought I was demonized. Of course she would never consider the possibility that being terrified of Armageddon coming every day of my young, impressionable life might have something to do with it.

By the way, this is a huge symptom of trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder.

I think that night terror is something else. The one described is the one I had sometimes and I thought it was demons. I'd wake up paralized with visions of demons attacking me and couldn't do anything about it. It was truly terrifying.

My son had the real night terrors but had no recollection of it. I did, too and remembered nothing of it except for waking up screaming for no apparent reason. These are different from the above mentioned sleep disorder.

I had one after I left the tower and was pretty much a christian reading the bible and going to church.

I thought a demon was trying to get in me. I couldnt move. I called out to Jesus and the demon got off me.

It stopped when I stopped reading the bible and watching bible tv.

Sometimes I dream that I'm back at Bethel. Does that count?

White Dove is onto something. I didn't remember a thing the next morning, until Mom asked me what happened and told me what I was doing (sitting straight up in the bed screaming). Her brother was a sleepwalker, she chalked it up to family craziness, I guess.

It wasn't a nightmare, I've never had many of those.
