I was thinking this week about the parallel between Isaac and Jesus. Both were put into the hands of their fathers to be sacrificed. Abraham put out his hand to kill Isaac and was stopped at the final moments. Perhaps Jesus wasn't certain whether his death would be stopped as well.

    Naaah, that doesn't make sense.

Perhaps, in order to die, you have to be outside of God's presence in that moment.

    Just some thoughts.

If my memory serves me right, bible is full of such examples, and yes wtbs always try to sugarcoat it. I remember reading long ago somewhere in bible where Jeremiah said to god "You fooled me" "you played tricks on me" other translations say "you deceived me"

How's that for being straight forward.

    Famous last words I guess....

"This is a sharp medicine, but it is a physician for all diseases and miseries." - Sir Walter Raleigh

"Has God forgotten everything I've done for him ?" - Louis 14th

"Now, now my good man, this is no time for making enemies."— Voltaire when on his deathbed a priest urging him to renounce Satan

    Cheers
