Hmmmmmm, Jesus has a few things to answer for himself - not sure I like his ethics at times.....
Luke 19:27 "But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them - bring them here and KILL them in front of me" (whatever happened to free will?)
Luke 14:26 "If anyone comes to me and does not HATE his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes and even his own soul, he cannot be my disciple" (nice one Jesus - if this scripture had never been put in the bible I'm sure many of our estranged families would still be talking to us!).
Matt 10:34 "Do not think I came to put peace upon the earth; I came to put not peace, but a sword. For I came to cause division, with a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a young wife against her mother-in-law. Indeed a man's enemies will be persons of his own household. He that has greater affection for father or mother than for me is not worthy of me. (ironically, Witnesses will use this scripture to justify their atrocious treatment of any of their family that leave the organisation and ex-Witnesses that become Christians will use this scripture to explain their persecution from their JW family....). Jesus has certainly achieved what he set out to do.
Matthew 21:19 And he caught sight of a fig tree by the road and went to it, but he found nothing on it except leaves only and he said to it "Let no fruit come from you anymore forever". And the fig tree withered instantly. (Poor fig tree, cursed for being barren, through no fault of its own!)
John 2:3,4 When the wine ran short the mother of Jesus said to him: "they have no wine." But Jesus said to her "What have I to do with you woman?" (if my son ever speaks to me like this, there'll be consequences - not exactly respectful).
Food for thought?
