My 80 year old mother-in-law (who is NOT a good cook) gets "that urge" every friggin' year when she sees all those cute little plastic cartons of candied fruit at Piggy Wiggly (southern grocery).
Lord, and then the little grinnin' woman comes over luggin' this 5 pound fruitcake that she abstains from adding whiskey to (not jw appropriate) - and we smile, then put it away somewhere dark for the mice.

pry some of those cute little colored fruit things out with a screwdriver and make earrings out of them! Send them back to fruitcake sender as gifts!
