I remember this Watchtower well! Around this time, my father who was a real gentleman and a member of the congregation committee as the elders were then known, was given public reproof before the body of servants by a visiting circuit servant. His crime? He was seen tipping his hat to ladies that he met in the house-to-house ministry!
As Venice has pointed out here, Joe Ratherflawed was alive and well! Well, actually he was dead but his legacy was still burning bright around that time.
