    Have we arrived?

Rev.16:16 Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.

Rev.16:19 The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath.

FALSE RELIGION, CORRUPT POLITICS, GREEDY COMMERCE

    Rev.18:9-17

9 "When the kings of the earth who committed adultery with her and shared her luxury see the smoke of her burning, they will weep and mourn over her. 10 Terrified at her torment, they will stand far off and cry:
" 'Woe! Woe, O great city,
    O Babylon, city of power!
In one hour your doom has come!'

11 "The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargoes any more— 12 cargoes of gold, silver, precious stones and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk and scarlet cloth; every sort of citron wood, and articles of every kind made of ivory, costly wood, bronze, iron and marble; 13 cargoes of cinnamon and spice, of incense, myrrh and frankincense, of wine and olive oil, of fine flour and wheat; cattle and sheep; horses and carriages; and bodies and souls of men.

14 "They will say, 'The fruit you longed for is gone from you. All your riches and splendor have vanished, never to be recovered.' 15 The merchants who sold these things and gained their wealth from her will stand far off, terrified at her torment. They will weep and mourn 16 and cry out:
" 'Woe! Woe, O great city,
dressed in fine linen, purple and scarlet,
and glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls!
17 In one hour such great wealth has been brought to ruin!'

OK. So say it's just like the bible verses. The "cities of the nations" collapse...well, countries all over the world are being wounded by this crash.

So say this is it, the hour is here. My question to you is....what next? What do you do?

If this is the hour and babylon never recovers, will Jws be rejoicing?

Do you expect some miraculous intervention that 6 million others will not be priveliged enough to receive?

Do you expect to suffer and go through an inquisition for your faith?

    What's next?

Every generation in the last 6000 years has been waiting for it and thought it would come in their lifetime.

    Enjoy life and sleep well

or do you just put your head in the sand like some of the rest here?

    do you DO something?

or do you just accept it as inevitable and prepare for the death march?

If this is the beginning of the end...what's your next move?

WT will probably be joyous at the destruction, yet ignore the reality of the plight of its members...wonder if the attitude will be in favor of waking up more people to the crass hypocrisy?

Every generation has an economic crisis. We had a great depression far worse back in the 1930's. Even if we slump into global recession or depression, it is not going to be anywhere near as bad as the living standard 500 years ago.

I have to say i think Americans are ignorant thinking that the suffering that may be feeling or going to feel is "so bad and couldn't be worse". Try telling that to the hundreds of millions that barely have enough to eat every day of their lives.

    Jwfacts - Good perspective!

The only thing we should worry about is if we lose power, electricity, gas etc. Those things are worth being concerned about.

But money.....money comes, and money goes!

I suspect there are many, many parts of the world that would like to have it so easy!

We're concerned about losing our 'easy' life style......they're concerned because their children are starving to death before their eyes.

Should we ever get to that point, that's when we should start worrying......NOT before.

    This is no Armageddon.

We in the west view Armageddon as anything that affects us.

Armageddon is happening to people all over the world every day!

The day we reach out to those poor souls is the day we escape all fear!

Since there has never, ever been an economic crisis or political upheavel in the history of mankind, this is uncharted waters that prove that Armageddon is at hand. Please disregard previous explanations about the United Nations as the "eighth king" and all the "king of the North" nonsense. As "Bible people", everyone should go back to the tried and true basics of the Hebrews, Jews, and first century Christians. Take your money out or Euros, Dollars, Yen, etc., and invest in the shekel and the drachma.

Since there isn't enough gold and silver to use for global currency, the need for currency can be easily reduced. "Employees" will become "slaves", and "employers" will become "masters". No monetary system, no economic problems.

That was Jehovah's way under Moses, David, Solomon, the Law, and the kings. The first century congregation never changed it. So it stands to reason that in the "Earthly Paradise" slavery will be back in fashion.
