Hi Siron.... thought it useful to repeat an earlier post of mine on a related thread; here goes....
    -------------------------------------------------------------
    Nauseating!
That's what it is when one compares the paucity of the WTS reaction to such a tragedy of historic magnitude, especially given the size and location of its resources, so near Ground Zero, to the unstinting, life-endangering efforts of thousands of others who seek no credit or reward.

Mayor-elect Mike Bloomberg, the self-made billionaire, is but one such example. Quietly and without fanfare he placed his depository facility four blocks from the disaster at the complete disposal of the rescue efort, donating computers and electronic equipment, first-aid materials, a food service catered by one of NYCs best kitchens, all manned by hundreds of volunteers from his own company, many of whom he shuttled to the site by limos and car services. He spent, and continued to spend millions of dollars without crowing about it. Of course, he has no objection to others mentioning it, but not one word came from him. Not bad for a ``greedy commercialist,'' one of Revelation's ``traveling merchants,'' eh? And he's but one of many,. maybe one of the foremost, but hardly unique in this gruff but big-hearted metropolis.

And why do we particularly need to know that 14 JWs died? The implication that JWs regard those lives lost as in any way more precious than the other 3,500 some-odd victims is more than a little unsettling to me.

And their message? ``Join us or share their fate--real soon!""
Hardly ``binds up the broken-hearted," wouldn't you say?
