What matters to Jehovah most is our faith and obedience . He gives us the opportunity to demonstrate both. Time and again he has led his people into situations where they were able to exhibit to him what they were truly like at heart. For example, he allowed his people, whom he had delivered out of Egypt, to go hungry, thirsty, and suffer in order to humble them and put their faith and obedience to the test:
So it sounds like in modern times Jehovah is inspiring dirty old elders to bugger children so that the rest of us have an opportunity to prove our obedience to his organization.
