Ok I've never been to an appostafest and I've always held back because at the back of my mind i have this nagging voice that says "they're dubs, they're going to judge you for being worldly and you'll end up being marked and ignored all over again" Now I know you lot are all out, hell some of you are even DF'd but I still feel like that. Recent events on here have shown me an ugly side to some ex dubs, they're still judgemental, still pointing the finger and saying we're better than you and that worries me.

Now I don't swear like a trooper, I dont go around letching at women or groping them when i'm drunk, in fact I'm pretty much a nice guy but I dont behave like I'm out on FS with the C.O, I *am* worldly... Pah I'm waffling on. Erhh straight to the point, if this will turn into a lads night out in London after the meal then I'm up for it, if it's going to be like dinner with the C.O then I'm errrrrr.... oh yeah i'm busy with Christmas Carol singing that evening, ....not that I know any Christmas Carols or anything

If you have never been to one then you are in for a treat. The people that have put themselves down to go are just the greatest bunch of people you could ever wish to meet. It is nothing at all like you have anticipated. The people are genuine, warm, very friendly, and a joy to be with. I just wish that we did more of them…..

I was a little apprehensive the first one I went to. I thought that it might be just a bunch of people bitching about their life as a JW. I was very wrong….

Miss it and you'll miss out. I promise that you won’t regret it. Not quite a lads night out either. But it is one of the most warm and friendly gatherings I have ever been to.
