    Ah yes-

    The needs of the congregation outweigh the rights of the individual.
    - if you know of activity that they define as sin, violate the person's
    right to privacy, violate the law and TURN HIM IN. Go directly to
    the elders so they can say they have a named witness. Risk your
    job or freedom or risk a lawsuit. Just do it.

    BUT

    The needs of the organization outweigh the needs of the individual or the congregation.
    - if they know of a potential danger to the congregation, they will
    decide if warning the members will cause any negative publicity to
    "Jehovah's organization." If there are not enough reasons to risk that, in their
    determination, they won't protect the members. If they must report anything
    to authorities, they will do it anonymously from a payphone so that authorities
    are unable to really use the information. They will not go directly to anyone
    and they will avoid having names involved. They only risk the lives and
    rights of others.
