that's very sad. You can't blame it on JWs. That kind of violence happens every day in all kinds of people. So very tragic that the mother was killed and the poor girl must be out of her mind with grief and fear.
I have to agree with Hortensia on this one. True, most here are angry with the religion, but it's not the cause of every kind of sick, psychopathic behavior we're seeing so much of today. My sympathies to your family and everyone involved.
What a tragedy! That poor girl will suffer for the rest of her life from all this.
This Corey Gausted kid-he had a serious fascination for guns/tanks (Amazon profile). He will likely turn out to be some psychopathic example of a killer in gestation for 21 years.
I keep recommending "The Gift of Fear." It's by Gavin DeBaker and you can get it on amazon.com. The author's business is protecting people against stalkers. He has some extremely useful information, including ten specific behaviors to look for that tell you a person is not to be trusted. Since I memorized those, I have started seeing them in all kinds of people and it always works out that the person doing the behaviors is untrustworthy in some way. Also, the author tells you what to do about the situation. Protection orders don't work. You could be dead by the time the police got there to arrest the person for violating the order.

I have that book, I should read it again.
I heard some things about this boy.
It seems he was removed as an MS and pioneer shortly before this happened, possibly something to do with involvment with the girl. His mother committed suicide a few years ago and the father had a drinking problem, so he and his brothers were taken under everyone's wings and helped along. The word is that they were nice kids considering the circumstances. The ones who helped them were not too happy to see him get involved with this girl because she and her mother were not well liked, and the girl was a big flirt and brat.
All things considered it's a real sad situation.
